There are quite a few possibilities.

1. Does the style actually match your project?
This one sounds obvious, but it’s important.
If you’re creating a cute, soft, pastel teacher collection, randomly mixing illustrations from completely different styles can make the finished project look messy.
I personally love collections where the graphics feel like they belong together.
2. Are SVG and PNG files included?
SVG is particularly useful for scalable designs and cutting projects.
PNG files with transparent backgrounds are also useful when you’re creating digital designs or working in programs such as Canva.
Having both gives you more flexibility instead of being stuck with one file format.
3. Are the graphics actually teacher-related?
A bundle with 40 random school objects isn’t necessarily useful just because it has an apple and a pencil.
For a teacher-themed project, you might want things that actually feel like part of a teacher’s world: books, globes, pencils, school buses, classroom supplies, teacher characters and other familiar details.
4. Check the license

Why I created my own Teacher SVG bundle
Here’s the slightly funny part.
This Teacher SVG bundle wasn’t created because I was some Cricut expert.
I’m not.
I don’t own a Cricut machine, and I had never used one before I started researching this topic.
I actually discovered this whole world while doing keyword research for my website.
But I had another reason for creating the graphics.
I’ve become increasingly frustrated with low-quality AI-generated clipart.
Some AI tools can create absolutely gorgeous images, until you zoom in.
Then you start seeing strange details, messy edges and quality issues that make the graphics much less useful for actual design work.
I’ve run into this problem myself while creating other digital products.
I needed certain graphics for TPT resources, Pinterest templates and Instagram designs. Sometimes the elements I wanted were locked behind Canva Pro. Other times, I generated PNGs with AI and wasn’t happy with the quality.
So I started learning.
I spent several days learning Illustrator and figuring out how to create the kind of graphics I actually wanted to use.
And this teacher collection became my first real Illustrator product. 🙂
My first version wasn’t even the final version
This is probably my favorite part of the story.
I initially created around 30-40 designs.
And then I looked at them and thought:
Nope. 😂
The colors weren’t what I wanted. The collection didn’t feel cohesive enough. I wasn’t happy with the overall look.
So I started again.
The second version became the pastel, cute, Scandinavian-inspired kawaii style you see in the finished collection below.
And now?
I genuinely love it.
The little faces, the soft colors, the teacher characters and all the tiny school-related details make me ridiculously happy.
It’s cute.
And honestly, in a world that can feel pretty negative sometimes, I’m okay with making things a little more cheerful.

But eventually I had to tell myself:
Done is better than perfect.
