How Do You Repurpose and Reuse Content to Maximize its Impact

How Content Repurposing Works

Say you’ve created a digital product you want to promote online. Here’s a simple content repurposing flow you could try:

YouTube video → blog post → Pinterest (promote both your YouTube video and blog post with 6–10 pins each) → TikTok → Instagram (Reels or carousel posts)

If you’re shy, you can just record your screen and talk to teach people by making a YouTube video. If you prefer not to use your own voice, many AI tools can create voiceovers for you.

There really are no excuses nowadays for not having a YouTube channel.

But, be careful not to spam. Focus on creating genuine, valuable content to build your audience and monetize your channel. If your videos seem like spam, YouTube won’t let you make money from them, and people won’t want to follow you either.

If you don’t want to use YouTube, even though it’s great for repurposing videos, start by creating a blog instead. Then, turn that blog post into multiple pieces of content across other platforms.

3 Easy Ways to Repurpose Your Digital Product Content

Example 1: Turn Your Product’s Key Lessons Into a Series of Blog Posts

You get the idea, right?

You don’t have to start from scratch or wonder what to write each day. One digital product can inspire many blog posts. And if you’re stuck, just ask ChatGPT, it can help you come up with ideas.

Example 2: Create Short Videos from Your Long-Form Content

You can even ask ChatGPT to help you write these scripts, just copy the important parts of your eBook and ask for short video ideas or scripts.

I suggest batch recording seven videos to cover a week. Edit them all at once or whenever convenient.

Here’s an example of a short video I created to promote my digital products:

I won’t lie, I’m shy. It feels uncomfortable and, since English isn’t my first language, I’m not a pro at it. But I still try!

I’m not perfect, yet I put myself out there despite the fear. If you feel the same, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone too, especially now, when AI is growing and people need real human connection more than ever.

How Repurposing Helps Your Digital Product’s Sales

If you only post your video on YouTube, you’re getting traffic from just one place — YouTube. But if you take that same video to turn it into a blog post, Pins, Reels, TikToks, or carousel posts, you get multiple traffic sources working for you.

Bonus Tip: Tools That I Use to Make Repurposing Easy

Captions in Adobe are great, since you can customize them however you want. That said, it can be time-consuming, I won’t lie.

Of course, once you create your first piece of content, you can reuse those subtitles and effects over and over again. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Still, while I personally love Adobe and its products, they are definitely more advanced and may have a steeper learning curve.

Conclusion on How to Repurpose Content

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you have to become a content machine the moment you create one piece of content to promote your products.

No, not at all.

I’m just like you. I juggle a lot of things, I get extremely tired sometimes, and I make mistakes. This is totally normal because we’re all human, not robots, and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.

As you grow and earn more, consider hiring help. Or, once you’ve become confident on one or two platforms, you can slowly start adding others. That way, the first platforms are already working for you, even when you’re not as active on them.

Always work at a sustainable pace while trying to use some of the ideas I’ve shared. This way, you get better results than relying on one platform, which is risky since we don’t control them. Any marketing platform can disappear if they suspend you, causing you to lose all your traffic.

(Email marketing is also wonderful to have and a perfect place to repurpose your content, but this topic is for another day.)

For now, that’s it. Go ahead and be brave today to be seen, heard, and able to live the life of your dreams.

Love, Gabi. <3
